Lime and coal originally produced
Charcoal, slaked lime and resin extraction formed the economic basis of many inhabitants of the Hohe Wand area for centuries.
In the nature park, these old traditions can be experienced when the lime kiln or the charcoal pile are put into operation, or during the show piling.
Interesting facts about these laborious activities can also be discovered in the Alpine and Local History Museum.
History at your fingertips is offered by the Nature Park Visitor Center. The Nature Park Shop offers charcoal, resin products and other delicacies from the region.
